Paul Finn has now been made a Senior of Shinko Aikido. He has been a great addition to the club and in addition to his new role he will be still coming to train with us on a regular basis. He will be working alongside Sensei Scholefield in running the club.

December gradings

We are happy to report that there were no failures at any of the examinations and everyone had a great time on the day at the course with many of our students now moving up the ranks (including a double grading!) Well Done Lucy!!

March 2012 Course and grading

There is another course and grading in planning this March, those who wish to grade must let Sensei know as soon as possible and those that are grading must be prepared for it. You must also attend the pre-grading course (date will be announced in due course) and qualify for your grading.

Children in Need

Shinko this year helped with the Children in Need day with a prize for a local charity raising day of free lessons and membership and insurance. The money raised has gone to some very valuable and important causes.

2012

This year will see many new and exciting things coming to Shinko, so watch this space!

New Video

The new Shinko video is now up both on our site and our YouTube channel it features both instructors at their recent gradings, check it out now!

Mat fee changes

Unfortunately due to increases is the cost of the sports centres the cost of each session has increased to £6.50. This applies to both dojos and the White Rose Dojo's and will begin from the end of January, also please ensure that your insurance and membership is up to date! This is now been closely monitored by Mark and those who are due must be updated. Failure to do so will result in you not being allowed on the mat. This is a strict request of the BAB insurance policy and we all (including instructors) have to adhere to it. The price for students is now £5 upon presentation of a VALID student I.D card.
