I am delighted to announce that after discussions with Paul he has accepted my proposal to become a senior of Shinko Aikido LEEDS. Paul has been given permission by Sensei Shane Riley to teach for the Whiterose Aikikai and will be permitted to teach within the association if and when required not just at the Shinko Dojos.
Paul has been with us quite some time now and has contributed a lot to the club both in knowledge and advice. Although Paul is going to be posted at Catterick he has guaranteed attending at least 1 class per month which will be reassessed when he has spent some time in his new role.
Paul will be running the club alongside me. I have given him the authority to make decisions, organise courses and assess class content. He will also be a port of call for all students who may have any questions, need guidance or have any grievances. Paul is not officially allowed to teach for us until he obtains the BAB Coach Level 1 qualification. We are dealing with this and it will be completed in due course.
Paul will be reporting directly to me, as the owner & founder of the club the book still stops with me and I will (as normal) be reporting to Sensei Shane Riley.
Between Paul and I we are sure our experience and knowledge combined will take the club forward. Together with the White Rose Aikikai and Sensei Shane Riley our Aikido will be second to none!!
